Learn About Our Child Development Team

Mission Statement

Your child’s social and emotional development is paramount in these early years. Our Teachers recognize the importance of this and provide an environment where the children are encouraged to learn to deal with their own emotions, resolve conflicts, to be their own advocate and cooperate with others.

The mission at New Foundations Preschool is to provide the communities, children and families around us with the highest quality preschool available. New Foundations Preschool combines a warm and friendly learning environment that is clean, healthy, and safe for children with progressive teaching styles to promote creativity and individuality in each child. We will continue to strive to not just meet but exceed your expectations in all aspects of your child’s care.

Our Teachers

Mrs. Kristine-Owner/Director

I purchased Bizzy Bumblebee Preschool January of 2023 and rebranded it to now, New Foundations Preschool.  I  previously worked at Bizzy Bumblebee Preschool from 2008-2014. While working at Bizzy Bumblebee, I received my associate degree with a focus on Early Education and Family Studies. I started as a Teachers Aid, and eventually held the role of an Assistant Director. In 2014, I went on to expand my professional experience and moved into the world of staffing. While in this position, I was able to fine tune my Human Resource and Customer Service skills. I continued my education at George Fox University, where I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Leadership and Management. Unfortunately, in 2020 the employment market took a sharp turn, so did the need for staffing support. An opportunity presented itself for me to transition to my husband’s company in the role of HR and Accounting. I have always dreamed of owning my own preschool, and beyond grateful to make that dream come true. Though, there is nothing more rewarding that supporting these young minds and watching them grow and be successful in their years post Preschool.  In my spare time, I love spending time with my husband and children, traveling, crafting/card making, and hiking.

Ms. Faith -Lead Pre-K Teacher/ Assistant Director

Faith has been part of the New Foundations family for 11 years. Her love for working with children started early, growing up with a mom who ran an in-home daycare, where Faith enjoyed helping care for the children.

One of her favorite parts of working at New Foundations is having the opportunity to work in all of the classrooms. She loves getting to know children at each stage and watching them grow, develop, and reach new milestones as they move through the program.

Outside of work, Faith enjoys paddle boarding, spending time at the beach, and traveling whenever she gets the chance.

 Mrs. Elizabeth- Lead Toddler Teacher

Elizabeth has been part of the New Foundations family since October 2021. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 1999 before moving from Louisiana to Oregon. She previously worked in the mental health and health insurance fields before becoming a stay-at-home mom when her first child was born.

After spending years raising her three children and volunteering in their schools, she discovered her passion for working with children. She began at New Foundations as a Teacher’s Aide and worked her way into a teaching position. She loves greeting each child each morning and spending her days singing, reading, dancing, creating, and exploring with them. She especially enjoys introducing children to science experiments and watching their curiosity grow as they learn new and exciting things.

Outside of the classroom, she enjoys making candles, cooking, reading, and spending time with her family.

Miss Mely -Toddler/Preschool Teacher

Mely has been part of the New Foundations family for just over a year. Growing up as one of 10 siblings, she spent much of her childhood caring for and babysitting her younger siblings, nieces, and nephews, which helped spark her love for working with children.

Mely primarily works in the Toddler classrooms and loves spending her days with the children. One of her favorite things about working with toddlers is how funny and entertaining they can be and all the little moments that make each day special.

Outside of work, Mely enjoys thrifting and spending time with her boyfriend, especially watching football together.
